There's a neat little levelling trick going around in Grow a Garden right now, and it's the kind of setup that makes you wonder why you ever spent hours grinding pets the slow way. It does take some prep, though. You'll want a garden packed with tomatoes, because they're easy to manage and work well with stacked mutations. If you're also collecting GAG Items while building out your account, this method fits nicely into normal progression instead of feeling like a separate chore.
Start With a Proper Tomato SetupThe main job before levelling is getting enough mutations onto your tomatoes. Most players aim for at least eight mutations before they start feeding experience into the target pet. That sounds like a lot, but it's not too bad if you use the right helpers. Pets like Mimic, Peacock, Phoenix, Wolf, Geode Turtle, Nullip, Dark Sprigger, and Kappa can all speed things up. Geode Turtle is especially useful since it can turn an Advanced Sprinkler into a Geode Mutation Sprinkler, which gives your whole garden more chances to roll extra mutations.
Cleaning Up the Mutation RollsSometimes your garden gets close, but one or two fruits still aren't where you want them. That's when Tiger comes in. A lot of players use Tiger to swap an existing mutation for a random new one, which can help push the count higher without rebuilding the entire plot. It's a bit of a gamble, sure, but it saves time when you're already near the target. Once the tomatoes are stacked well enough, stop messing with the garden and move on to the pet team. Over-tweaking usually just wastes minutes.
The Fast Active Levelling TeamFor the active version, the usual team is one Lion, two Griffins, one Hot Dog pet, and three Venom Puritins. The detail people miss is the mutation spread. Only the Hot Dog should have Everchanted. The rest should run Venom mutations. This gives the team a Medium Passive Boost while keeping your best mutated tomatoes from being eaten too quickly. When it's done right, a level 0 pet can hit level 50 in about 2 minutes and 8 seconds. You still need to pay attention, but it's quick enough that it barely feels like grinding.
A Slower Option for AFK PlayersIf you'd rather leave the game running while you do something else, swap the setup around and use two Puritins with one Elephant. The Elephant should be around 20kg, and it shouldn't carry mutations that add passive boosts. Players use this because of the well-known Elephant Bug, which can help create 40kg pets while levelling continues in the background. It's not quite as fast as the active method, with runs landing around 3 minutes and 8 seconds, but it's still excellent. Many players also choose to buy Roblox Grow a Garden Items when preparing for new updates, since having resources ready makes these levelling setups much easier to repeat.
